Habaj reveals mixed feelings after landing maiden ERC podium

The Pole moved from fourth to third in the closing stages of Rally Liepāja when compatriot and three-time ERC champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz withdrew after learning a close friend had lost his life in a helicopter accident.

“This place belongs to Kajto,” said Habaj. “I what it means to lose friends in an accident, it happened to me many times so I have really mixed feelings because I didn’t want my first podium in the ERC to be achieved like this. I just focused on my driving but it was really difficult to find the rhythm and my concentration. I feel really sorry for Kajto and sorry for the people in the accident. I enjoyed the stages and the rally but I have mixed feelings about the result.”
