Frank Tore Larsen is thinking long term when it comes to his rallying. The talented Norwegian is embarking on a major domestic title assault in 2017 with a view of eventually challenging for the FIA European Rally Championship.
After contesting two ERC events in 2016, Larsen is focusing his efforts on landing the funding to contest every round of the Norwegian championship this year, while also trying to secure extra support to acquire an asphalt-specification Ford Fiesta R5 as part of his preparations for a future ERC campaign.

A statement on Larsenmotorsport.com read: “By focusing on collecting important points by contesting a full domestic championship and hopefully getting the budget together to start asphalt driving, the team hope this will give them the springboard to contest at the top level of the ERC in 2020.”

Larsen’s seven-round Norwegian championship campaign begins with the Sigdalsrally on 14 January.
