Orsák’s special delivery ahead of ERC return

The Czech driver will compete on this week’s Azores Airlines Rally, almost 12 months after his last rally start came on the 2015 Kenotek Ypres Rally. He has upgraded to R5 machinery for the first time, but only received the Ford Fiesta less than a fortnight before the rally started.



“After last season we were sure that we must switch to a car in the R5 category,” he said. “We have decided to buy a brand new Ford Fiesta R5. Delivery of the car was very last minute, we picked up it at M-Sport last Friday (20 May), brought it at home, put stickers on it and immediately left for the long trip to Setúbal to the ferry to Azores.



“So until now I have not sat in the car, the first time will be in the Monday test in the Azores. After a long break and with a brand new car I don’t expect any superb result, but I am really looking forward to the start.”
