The post-race scrutineers at the Suzuka 8 Hours found all the machines to be in compliance with regulations.

The provisional results of the 2016-2017 FIM EWC grand finale, the 40th anniversary of the Suzuka 8 Hours, have therefore been confirmed.

The scrutineering process was undertaken after the 2016-2017 FIM EWC grand finale, the 40th anniversary of the Suzuka 8 Hours, at the demand of the FIM and FIM EWC promoter Eurosport Events.

For the first time after a Suzuka 8 Hours race, the first ten machines past the finish line and the top three machines in the 2016-2017 FIM EWC final standings were taken apart to check that their engines and moving parts conformed to 2016-2017 FIM EWC regulations.

All the machines checked by the technical commission were found to be in compliance. The provisional results of the 2017 Suzuka 8 Hours 2017 have therefore been confirmed.
