Adam Armstrong named League One player of the month

The 18-year-old, who is on loan at the Ricoh Arena from Newcastle, could not have wished for a better start to his stay at the Sky Blues as he scored five goals in his opening five games.

Armstrong scored a brace in the opening-day win over Wigan before firing another double the next week in a 4-0 success at Millwall.

He added his next goal in a 3-2 success over Crewe, before failing to find the net in games against Walsall and Southend.
