Barcelona midfielder Arda Turan has been ruled out for around three weeks due to a groin injury.
The Turkey international is likely to miss both legs of Barca's Champions League quarter-final with Juventus due to the adductor problem, along with at least four LaLiga matches.
A statement on Barcelona's website read: "Medical tests conducted on Wednesday morning have confirmed that first-team player Arda Turan has an injury to the adductor muscle in his right groin.
"He is expected to be unavailable for about three weeks. This means that the Turk will miss the next few Barca matches."
Turan played the full 90 minutes of his country's 2-0 World Cup qualifying victory over Finland on Friday before sitting out Monday's friendly meeting with Moldova.
His club, currently second in LaLiga as they attempt to retain the title for a third successive year, return to action at Granada on Sunday, following the international break.
The 30-year-old, who has scored 13 times in 29 outings for Luis Enrique's men this season, will definitely be unavailable for that game, in addition to matches against Sevilla and Malaga and the trip to Turin to face Serie A champions Juventus on April 11.
He is also likely to miss the visit of Real Sociedad and the return game against Juve, before possibly returning to contention for El Clasico against title rivals Real Madrid on April 23.
