Armstrong makes Sky Blues switch

Highly-rated Newcastle youngster Adam Armstrong has joined Coventry on loan until mid-January.

Striker Armstrong, 18, has been with the Magpies since he was nine and is the second-youngest player to turn out for the club in the Premier League.

He has made 15 appearances for Newcastle so far, the majority of which have come from the bench.

Armstrong will stay at the Ricoh Arena until January 16 and is expected to feature in the Sky Blues' pre-season friendly against Cambridge on Tuesday night.
