Falkirk boss Peter Houston paid tribute to his side's survival spirit after they snatched a 1-0 win over Hibernian to book their place in the William Hill Scottish Cup final.
Craig Sibbald's header decided the match, but Falkirk also had goalkeeper Jamie MacDonald to thank for a string of fine saves.
Houston said on Sky Sports 2: "Absolutely delighted. We had to survive quite a bit of pressure from Hibs, but the stats that count are the goals for and goals against."
Sibbald's winner arrived 15 minutes from time.
The goalscorer said: "We didn't have many chances so I was glad when it went in."
Hibs boss Alan Stubbs said the better team had lost.
"You have to take your opportunities, we haven't done that today," he said. "That's the reason why we haven't put ourselves in the final.
"I don't think anyone could deny the best team hasn't gone through."
