Danish defensive midfielder Leon Andreasen will return to parent club Werder Bremen in the summer, but will only stay there if he plays more often.
The 24-year-old has been on loan at Mainz since January, and his 15 appearances for the relegated side since his move have given him a taste for action.
"I will go back to Werder to start with, I have two more years on my contract, but I don't feel like spending much time on the sidelines.
"After my time in Mainz, I feel like playing a lot. My agent, Ivan Marko Benez, has promised to speak to Klaus Allofs [sporting director at Werder]".
For the moment, Bremen appear keen to hang on to Andreasen, who made his international debut for Denmark after having scored four times in his first seven games for Mainz, although if a big enough offer was tabled, they would reluctantly let him go.
Allofs told Bild: "If Chelsea offers £15 million for Leon, then sure we would consider selling him, but otherwise we want him to stay with us."
