Robert Lewandowski and Arjen Robben helped themselves to a brace each as Bayern Munich claimed their third consecutive league victory with an easy 4-0 hammering of Hannover 96 at the Allianz Arena.
Pep Guardiola’s side turned on the style early in the match and raced into a three-goal lead at the break courtesy of a double from Lewandowski and an effort from Robben.
Bayern continued to control proceedings and created a number of chances but were unable to find the fourth goal until Robben found the net with a trademark finish 11 minutes from time.
The win saw unbeaten Bayern move to 17 points after seven games, four points clear of second-placed Hoffenheim.
KEY MOMENTS
6’ – GOAL!Too easy for Bayern! A delightful long ball from Rafinha at full back, Lewandowski takes the ball down with great control and finds himself through one-on-one with the goalkeeper, who he simply slides the ball past.
13’ – GOAL! And it's that man Robben! Hannover lose the ball in a dangerous area in midfield, Robben simply picks the ball up, runs at a vulnerable defence before blasting the ball into the bottom corner.
15’ - JUST WIDE! Robben cuts in from the channel and fires an acute shot at goal but the ball just fizzes past the post. This is like a training exercise for Guardiola's side.
18’ - WHAT AN EFFORT! Alonso tries to lob the ball over Zieler from the half-way line but the goalkeeper just manages to tip it over the bar.
36’ - WIDE! Robben delivers a wonderful cross straight onto the head of Lewandowski who, with space and time, somehow heads wide of the goal.
38’ – GOAL! Lewandowski grabs his 19th brace of his career with a lovely finish after latching onto a great through ball.
43’ - GREAT SAVE! Joselu races through for a rare opportunity for Hannover and with only Neuer to beat, the German keeper makes himself big to make the stop.
58’ - ALMOST FOUR! Robben and Lewandowski exchange a lovely one-two in the penalty area but a Hannover defender gets across to clear just as Robben looked to increase Bayern's lead.
65’ - BLOCK! Brilliant defending from Marcelo denies Lewandowski his hat-trick just as the striker prepared to smash in Bayern's fourth goal.
70’ - SO CLOSE! Another wonderful run by Robben, he plays a short pass to Lahm who returns the favour back to him eight yards from goal but, just as he goes to unleash a shot, a Hannover leg denies the Dutchman.
79’ - GOAL! Robben seals his brace with yet another brilliant goal. A trademark goal! He cuts in from the channel and buries the ball into the corner of the goal. No stopping that!
87’ - GREAT SAVE! Great cross from Rode picks out Lewandowski who heads straight at the goalkeeper. It's like a race for the hat-trick between the forward and Robben!

TALKING POINT
Have Bayern wrapped up the title already? It is only early October but Bayern already have a four-point lead at the top of the table. Their traditional rivals Dortmund are languishing a couple of places above the drop zone on seven points. Furthermore, Bayern still have Franck Ribery and Bastian Schweinsteiger to return.
MAN OF THE MATCH
Arjen Robben (Bayern Munich): Difficult to operate Robben and Lewandowski but the award goes to the flying Dutchman for the sheer number of chances he created and the manner in which he took his goals. He was at his best today.
