Lothar Matthaus: Pep Guardiola in danger of losing Bayern dressing room

The Bavarians were comprehensively beaten 3-0 in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final with Barcelona last week and lost their fourth game on the bounce against Augsburg on Sunday, leaving the former Germany star to ponder whether the 44-year-old is facing a power struggle at the Allianz Arena.

“Guardiola’s already said that their season is over and has been rotating his squad so much that he’s unsettling the team,” he told Sky Deutschland.

“Bayern no longer have the stability, which gripped fans all over Germany, they once had for more than eight months.

“It seems that some players have lost faith in Guardiola, which he didn’t expect [would happen].”

Bayern, who wrapped up the Bundesliga title in April, host Barca in their European second leg on Tuesday.
