Bayern Munich don’t support Mario Gotze enough, says agent

Mario Gotze’s agent has hit out at Bayern Munich for not giving the midfielder enough support.
The 23-year-old struggled in the Bundesliga after scoring the winning goal against Argentina in the World Cup final in Brazil last year.
But his agent, Volker Struth, has laid part of the blame at the door of the German champions.
He told the Bild am Sonn-tag newspaper: “Of course, I would have liked if Mario had felt more support in one or two situations.
“I am fully convinced that when Mario feels this support, it is easier for him to show his incredible potential.
“Then he is one of the best players in the world.”
Struth says his client was disappointed not to feature for the full 90 minutes in Bayern’s big games last season. He cited the Champions League semi-final against Barcelona and the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Borussia Dortmund, where Gotze only came on in the second half.
“Of course, he was disappointed and that did bother him,” Struth added. “As a player, you are always wondering ‘why did I not start?’
“That is why Mario moved to Bayern – to be playing in these big matches and to win titles.”
