Robert Lewandowski should have scored seven goals against Wolfsburg as a second-half substitute, accordong to Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm.
Lewandowski scored all of his side's goals in a 5-1 win after emerging from the bench at the break with Wolfsburg leading 1-0.
Astonishingly, his haul came in a nine-minute spell prompting some gushing praise from his team-mate.
At half-time a player came in who did a little something. It was incredible. Just madness," said Lahm. And he had two more chances, so he should have gone home with seven goals today.
Jerome Boeteng described the Poland forward as one of the world's greatest forwards.
"He's one of the best attackers in the world and I am glad that he plays in my team," said the former Manchester City defender.
"It's difficult to defend against him. It's good that I can compete with him in training."
