De Bruyne has flourished as a player since joining Wolfsburg from Chelsea, claiming an extraordinary 25 assists and 15 goals in 45 appearances for the club last season.
Wolfsburg have opened talks with the midfielder about a new deal, despite only being 18-months into a five year contract.

Having finished last season as Bundesliga runners-up, Wolfsburg will take part in the Champions League group stage this season, a stage where De Bruyne should shine.
The talks have been triggered by the 24-year-old's outstanding form as well as interest from financial powerhouses like PSG and Manchester City.
Wolfsburg manager Dieter Hecking appears to be calm about the situation, however, saying he was confident the Belgium international would stay at the club for at least another year.
"Kevin is a player the world wants," he said. "I think he will stay for a minimum one more year at Wolfsburg."
