Burnley seal season-long loan deal for Chelsea's Patrick Bamford

Burnley have signed 22-year-old Patrick Bamford from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

Sean Dyche’s Burnley become Bamford’s sixth loanee club during his time at Chelsea.

Bamford featured for Norwich City earlier this year, while he has also been loaned to MK Dons, Derby County, Middlesbrough and Crystal Palace since 2012.

The striker is yet to feature for Chelsea, while his most successful spell was arguably at Boro, where he score 17 times in 38 Champions games during the 2014/15 season.

That led to Bamford winning the league's Player of the Year award in a campaign where the North East club knocked out Manchester City in the FA Cup.
