Former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has said he wants Antoine Griezmann to move as far away from Manchester as possible.

The Atletico Madrid star, who reportedly has a release clause of €100 million, has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer.
Ahead of Atletico's clash with Leicester City in the Champions League, which saw the Spanish side progress following a 1-1 draw, Gerrard was asked on BT Sport where he would want to see Griezmann move, to which he replied "as far away from Manchester as you can find!"
By contrast his fellow pundit, former United centre-back Rio Ferdinand said "Old Trafford looks like the perfect destination for him!"
Griezmann, who impressed as Atletico made the semi-finals for the third time in four seasons, drew plenty of praise from both of the former England players.
"He is one of the best players at finding space and hurting teams, in between the lines, as we call it these days," said Gerrard.

Ferdinand added "He's [Griezmann's] a top operator. A great technician, a very intelligent footballer and seeing him live, you've got to see what he does. He just smells the game and comes into positions that are hard to mark for a defender.
"He's always aware of who's around him and playing in positions where you can't really lay a glove on him and when you've got a forward like that who when he does turn he becomes potent it's so difficult to play against."
