'Everyone will be laughing at them' – Roy Keane slams Liverpool

Roy Keane says Europe’s elite clubs will be “laughing” at Liverpool after inept defending saw them draw 2-2 with Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Dejan Lovren’s accidental dummy for the visitors’ opener summed up a ropey defensive display, which almost culminated in the Spaniards snatching victory at the death, had substitute Luis Muriel shown more composure.
It was a performance that left former Manchester United midfielder Keane, now a pundit for ITV Sport, aghast.
"Experienced players just switching off. It must drive the manager crazy as it's just schoolboy defending," he said.
"That is the easiest part of football, yet Liverpool can’t seem to do it.
"Win the league and Champions League? Liverpool? Forget about it. Later on, in the knockout stages against the Real Madrids and all these boys, they’ll be laughing at Liverpool."
Liverpool failed to strengthen in defence during the summer transfer window as their pursuit of Southampton’s Virgil van Dijk ended in an apology for "any misunderstanding" after an alleged illegal approach.
The Reds and Sevilla are joined by Spartak Moscow and Maribor in Group F.
