Lionel Messi has been absolutely bantered off. Messi asked for a yellow for a challenge, grabbed the ref by the neck, and got booked as a result. He should have gone for the further dissent.
Messi receives the ball, 25 yards out, and he blasts a shot at goal that hits the post, bounces off Buffon and spins out of play. The pressure is growing.
Barcelona have started well here. Full of confidence and technique to press with the ball.

De Sciglio goes down, so Sturaro will be on. He took another clump from that vile thug, Iniesta.
Only a few minutes of this half left, and it's fairly even so far.
A huge chance for Dembele. A defensive mix-up as De Sciglio's pass runs to Dembele, and he gets a shot away that Sandro deflects just wide.

Barcelona have Ousmane Dembele to make his Champions League debut for them. They also have Gerard Deulofeu and Paulinho, both new signings - of a sort - on the bench for them. It is a touch worrying that they are now so weak in their resources on the bench.
