Brighton see off Blackburn to go top

Brighton moved to the top of the Championship table after winning 3-2 at Blackburn.

Shane Duffy's 17th-minute header set the Seagulls on their way to extending their unbeaten run to 15 league matches and Dale Stephens struck on the hour mark to double the lead.
Sam Gallagher reduced Rovers' deficit midway through the second half, but any hopes of a fightback looked to be dashed with Gordon Greer's red card after 74 minutes before Glenn Murray restored Brighton's two-goal cushion shortly afterwards.
Gallagher got another goal back in injury time, but Chris Hughton's team held on to leapfrog Newcastle to assume poll position.
The Magpies can regain the lead with a win at Wigan on Wednesday night.
Leeds are up to fifth after beating third-placed Reading 2-0 at Elland Road thanks to Chris Wood's 19th-minute strike and an injury-time penalty from Souleymane Doukara.
Sheffield Wednesday are back in the play-off places after a n Angus MacDonald own goal and a Sam Hutchinson effort gave them a 2-0 victory over Yorkshire rivals Barnsley, who had Adam Hammill and boss Paul Heckingbottom sent off late on.

The Owls are above Birmingham on goal difference after their 2-1 home win over Ipswich. Clayton Donaldson, from the penalty spot, and Michael Morrison were on target for Blues before Adam Webster headed a reply.
Norwich remain on the coat-tails of the top six after Nelson Oliveira's goal gave them a 1-0 home win over Aston Villa, who have lost back-to-back away matches.
Nahki Wells' late header kept Huddersfield in the play-off places by sealing a 1-0 win at Burton, while it was also 1-0 at Ashton Gate as hosts Bristol City were beaten by Brentford, with Maxime Colin on the score sheet.
Cardiff came from behind to beat Wolves and climb out of the bottom three. Matt Doherty put the visitors ahead after two minutes, but second-half goals from Matt Connolly and Anthony Pilkington, four minutes from time, completed the turnaround.
It was 2-1 too at Craven Cottage as Fulham also fought back from a goal down to win. Joe Newell gave bottom-of-the-table Rotherham a surprise lead, but Stefan Johansen and Floyd Ayite struck either side of half-time for Fulham, for whom Chris Martin also had a penalty saved by Lewis Price.
