Sunderland have confirmed the appointment of former Wales manager Chris Coleman as their new boss on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Coleman's resignation from the Wales job was officially confirmed on Friday night with the expectation that he would take the Sunderland job.
He was not in charge for the Black Cats' 2-2 draw against Millwall in the Championship on Saturday, but has now been confirmed on a deal until 2020.
Coleman said that it was "an honour" to take over at Wearside.
"The club worked incredibly hard to make sure we were a good fit and to show me the potential that can be achieved here," he told the club's website.
"I believe that every person at this football club, every player and every supporter has a part to play in getting us back to where we belong."
Under Coleman's tenure Wales rose into the top 10 in the FIFA rankings and reached the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
They are currently bottom of the Championship, six points from safety.
