The right-back saw red in the 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday last time out and he will now serve a one-match ban, forcing Eddie Howe to change his side with Adam Smith likely to step into the starting line-up.
That could be the only change to the settled XI that have not tasted defeat since February.
Howe's men know victory over Bolton would mean only a virtually impossible swing in goal difference on the final day would deny them a place in the Premier League, just six years after almost falling out of the Football League all together.
Neil Danns and Barry Bannan will be back in the Bolton squad for the long Monday night trip.
The midfielders were left out at Brentford having breached club discipline by staying out late but Wanderers boss Neil Lennon is ready to put the matter to bed.
Josh Vela will miss the long Monday night trip with a groin problem which is likely to keep him out for the remainder of the campaign while Matt Mills is a doubt with an ankle issue, and he has also complained of suffering from vertigo recently.
Loanee Paddy McCarthy has gone back to Crystal Palace after receiving a knock on his ankle while Max Clayton (ankle), David Wheater (hamstring), Simeon Slavchev (ankle), Darren Pratley (hamstring), Craig Davies (hamstring) and Zach Clough (shoulder) were already out, and Marc Tierney (broken leg) this week announced his retirement from the game.
