Chris Coleman has announced the squad for Wales’ first 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Moldova on September 5th.

The match, which takes place at Cardiff City Stadium, follows the success of Coleman’s side in the European Championships this summer, and expectations of the tournament's semi-finalists will be high.
But Coleman said the challenge facing his squad was a different one and his squad had to be tailored to reflect this.
He said: “It’s not recreating what we had in France. It’s creating something different for a different challenge.”
The team will be without Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, who suffered another injury set-back in Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Liverpool. The midfielder will now be out of the running for three weeks with a hamstring problem.

Speaking about Ramsey’s absence from the squad Coleman said: “You take him out of any team, he’s irreplaceable almost,” he added “He makes a huge impact and he’s a great player.”
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace midfielder Jonny Williams will also miss out, after picking up an injury in a pre-season friendly against Farnborough on August 8.
Speaking about the foul that ruled Williams out, Coleman said: "I saw that tackle on him, it was a coward's tackle from behind, and that was annoying."
Cardiff City’s Emyr Huws and Leicester City’s Tom Lawrence are set to return to the squad having missed out on the Euros.
