Teenage forward Zach Clough is out for the season as Bolton delivered a bleak injury update on all three of the players withdrawn before half-time in their midweek draw with Reading.
Neil Lennon's side, who already had a lengthy casualty list, will be without Clough (shoulder) and full-back Kevin McNaughton (fractured leg) for the closing months of the season while central defender David Wheater (hamstring) will miss the bulk of Bolton's last 11 fixtures.
Clough has been a bright spot for Lennon's men since bursting onto the scene with a virtuoso display on his debut in the FA Cup third-round victory over Wigan back in January.
The 19-year-old followed that up with a brace on his Sky Bet Championship bow against Wolves and his tally for the season will finish with six goals in 10 games.
Bolton were already without Max Clayton (knee), Darren Pratley (hamstring), Adam Bogdan (ankle), Craig Davies (hamstring), Andy Lonergan (concussion), Mark Davies (knee) and Liam Trotter (thigh) against the Royals on Tuesday night.
