Ilunga blasts team-mates

Saint Etienne defender Herita Ilunga has blasted his team for a "lack of determination and will to win" after they crashed out of the French Cup on Saturday with a 3-1 home defeat to Sochaux.

"I think we have to congratulate Sochaux on their performance," he told French daily Le Progres. "This team has shown us they deserved their place in the league."
"They gave us a footballing lesson, and we offered nothing. The defeat was without doubt down to a lack of determination and will to win on our part.
"Nobody was moving, everyone wanted the ball played straight to feet. It was like we didn't want to win. We got what we deserved.
"Now we're out of both cups and the league is the only competition left for us. This is the first time that we have lost three matches in a row, and we have to bounce back.
"But our group has character, and we will prove it next week against Monaco," he added.
