Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still believes referee Keith Stroud made the correct call in issuing a red card to either side in their 2-1 loss at home to Wycombe.
The hosts endured a difficult first half which saw them go a man down when Josh Passley was dismissed in the 31st minute.
And their misery was compounded in first-half stoppage-time when Wycombe skipper Paul Hayes opened the scoring.
But the second half was a different story, with Daggers starting well as Wycombe had Garry Thompson sent off.
Luke Guttridge then fired Daggers level in the 72nd minute, only for Paris Cowan-Hall to head Wycombe in front again two minutes later.
"Once he gave the free-kick, I thought Josh had to go," said Still. "He's gone down easy, but it's football. Wycombe's one is a red too.
"The games we've had at home under me, if it's your day you win those games.
"With the amount of games we have left, I know we're capable of winning three, four or five together.
"The side is getting stronger and the power is beginning to come through. The rest will slip into place.
"There was so much energy and good stuff for us. We went down to 10 men and you wouldn't have noticed.
"I was really pleased, but I'm disappointed with the result - that's football. We have to take all the positives."
Opposite number Gareth Ainsworth admitted the game was action packed, but was disappointed with Wycombe's display.
The result also sees the Chairboys move back into the play-off positions in League Two, and Ainsworth was pleased the visitors came through unscathed - save for Thompson's dismissal.
"The conditions weren't great and it was blowing a gale at Victoria Road," Ainsworth added.
"There were two red cards and plenty of action in both boxes. I've actually told my boys off, I thought we made it harder than we needed to at the end.
"We let the ball get pumped into our box too often, but I think that's because we've been on this bad blip when you defend for your lives.
"You win any way you can. I thought the two goals we scored were great footballing goals, especially the second.
"The first was a great goal for Hayes and the second was brilliant.
"You know what you're going to get at Dagenham, they're going to be tough and in your face and we made it a bit harder than we needed to."
