Former France manager Raymond Domenech has criticised Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil for disappearing when games start to get physical.
Domenech, who managed the French national team between 2004 and 2010 was speaking before Arsenal's game against French champions PSG in the Champions League.
The 64-year-old, who has been provisionally appointed as the new head of the LFP, hit out at Ozil for his lack of defensive work as well.
"As soon as there is physicality involved, he disappears, if he has to track back, he doesn’t do it.”
This season Ozil has been receiving plenty of praise from fans and pundits, scoring seven goals and registering three assists in the Premier League and Champions League.
However the German had a tough evening on Wednesday as the Gunners were restricted to a 2-2 with PSG in their penultimate group game.
The result leaves them trailing the French side on away goals and if both teams win their final matches then Arsenal will go through in second place for the sixth time in seven seasons.
