Hendrick (dead leg) and Hanson (concussion) have recovered from the problems that kept them out of the draw at Birmingham, where their absence, along with Craig Bryson, forced head coach Paul Clement to start with a 4-4-2 formation.
Bryson (knee) remains out but their return means Clement is likely to revert back to his preferred 4-4-3 line-up.
Meanwhile, Jake Buxton has resumed full training, having been out since undergoing back surgery in March. The defender, together with Bryson, should be back in first-team contention for the trip to Preston on September 12 following the two-week international break.
Leeds midfielder Luke Murphy is pushing hard for a first start of the season at the iPro Stadium.
Murphy underwent minor surgery after twisting his knee in pre-season training but has been eased back into action with three substitute appearances and scored in a 90-minute outing for the Under-21s on Monday.
Lewis Cook is also in contention to start in midfield as he returns from suspension following his sending off against Doncaster with academy product Kalvin Phillips likely to make way if any changes are made.
Whites boss Uwe Rosler has no new injury worries as he looks for a first league win of the season following four draws to start the campaign.
