A clinical header by Dominic Calvert-Lewin put the Three Lions ahead against the run of play after an opening period that had seen Argentina pepper the England goal.

But, with their opponents still looking the more threatening, Newcastle United's Adam Armstrong made it 2-0 with a fine finish at the end of an incisive move by England early in the second half.
Argentina played the better football for much of the game and continued to dominate even at 2-0 down, but a red card for forward Martinez - which featured the use of Video Technology for the first time - hindered their chances of a comeback.
And Chelsea's highly-rated Dom Solanke capped off an impressive individual display with a finely-taken penalty late on after Calvert-Lewin had been felled by the keeper.
The win was a first at a World Cup by an England U20 side in over two decades, with Michael Owen being a scorer the last time the age-group secured a victory on the world stage.
