Euro 2016 - Yannick Carrasco: Belgium winger questions Wilmots' selection on Facebook

Unrest in the Belgium camp appears to be growing as winger Yannick Carrasco has publicly disagreed with Marc Wilmots' team selection, which flopped on Monday night as Italy stunned the Red Devils 2-0.

Romelu Lukaku was especially poor in attack and despite having an array of playmakers at his disposal, Wilmots opted for Marouane Fellaini to play as the No. 10.

A fan called Jeremy Michel posted his discontent at Wilmots' selection and added a graphic of his preferred formation that not only included Carrasco on the right, but Hazard as the No. 10, Dries Mertens to the left and Michy Batshuayi up front.

Belgium website Newsmonkey posted a screen shot of Carrasco's reply shortly after, which simply says, "I agree."

The post was hastily deleted but not quickly enough which could mean Carrasco is in hot water given the Belgium football association forbids players from communicating their personal preferences or tactical choices.

Kevin De Bruyne is carrying a knock, which could explain why he is not included, though his performance was lacklustre too.

What seems clear is that the Atletico Madrid star is irked by Fellaini's inclusion in the line up, at least in such an advanced role, while some have called for Marseille striker Batshuayi to be given a chance over Lukaku.

Belgium are under intense pressure to deliver at a tournament due to the current crop being labelled the golden generation and they will need to remarkably improve against the Republic of Ireland on Saturday if they are to stand a chance of lifting the cup this summer.
