Harry Kane continued his amazing scoring run, securing Tottenham's place in the last 32 of the Europa League with a second half winner against Qarabag.
He nodded in a Christian Eriksen corner 12 minutes from time, meaning that Tottenham will progress to the knock-out stages of the tournament when it resumes in February.
Tottenham had kept up the pressure on a resilient Qarabag side, with both Son Heung-Min and Dele Alli hitting the woodwork.
Dani Quintana was a lively presence for the hosts, creating their two best chances, but ultimately they fell short against a dominant Spurs side.

KEY MOMENTS

4' CHANCE! First chance - Ryan Mason hitting it first time but easily claimed by the goalkeeper Sehic.
35' FIRST SHOT ON TARGET! A limp one, mind, bobbling in from the foot of Alderweireld from range, but still, a shot on target.

60' CHANCE! Dani Quintana makes a great run and attempts a curled shot towards the far post, but Vertonghen deflects that out for a corner.
65' BAR! Closest so far! Son finds himself in a surprising amount of space on the edge of the box, and his shot hits the bar.
76' POST! Ah and that's AGAINST THE POST, Dele Alli! He's very calm, very collected, and his side-foot bounces off the bottom of the left upright!
78' GOAL! That's the 13th Spurs corner - lucky for some, and Harry Kane gets that over the line, finally! Eriksen's corner had been flicked on by Son, and Kane nods it over the line.

KEY STATS

Harry Kane has now scored nine goals in his last six matches.
This was Tottenham's first win in their last five away games in European competition.
This was Tottenham's longest-ever journey for a competitive fixture - a 5,000-mile round trip to the capital of Azerbaijan.

TALKING POINT

Just how long can Harry Kane's fabulous scoring run continue? Jamie Vardy might be grabbing the Premier League headlines, but Kane continues to do his job without too much fanfare.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Harry Kane (Tottenham). His goal broke the deadlock - the visitors had had a succession of corners and hit the woodwork twice, but it took a man in form to actually convert the dominance on to the scoresheet.
