TEAM NEWS
Bolton's squad is depleted by injuries. Craig Davies is the only one of Bolton's injured players who has a chance of featuring, with Darren Pratley's hamstring tear seeing him join the likes of Adam Bogdan, Emile Heskey, Marc Tierney, Mark Davies and Max Clayton on the sidelines. Only players registered prior to the original tie are eligible so Trotters boss Neil Lennon is unable to call on new signings Ben Amos, Adam Le Fondre, Rochinha, Barry Bannan, Simeon Slavchev, Filip Twardzik or Saidy Janko.
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is fully fit for the FA Cup fourth round replay at Bolton after sitting out the weekend with a tight hamstring. Striker Daniel Sturridge, who scored in a 22-minute substitute appearance against West Ham on Saturday after a five-month lay-off, is likely to be on the bench again. Some fringe players could get a rare start as manager Brendan Rodgers, with a Merseyside derby to come, looks to give some of his first-choice stars a much-needed rest as he did in the original meeting.
MANAGER QUOTES
Neil Lennon: "They're on a good run. I know they lost at Chelsea but they bounced back really well with a good win over a very good West Ham team, and Daniel (Sturridge) coming in will obviously make them better. He's been missed, there's no question of that. He'll be hungry to play and that's obviously very dangerous for us. I think he walked round the back of the goal in the first tie and got a huge reception from the Bolton fans. Speaking to the chairman last night about him, he said he was fantastic here so I think he'll get a nice reception. But if he scores that might change a little bit."
Brendan Rodgers: "When you have so many games you have to plan forward and look at that but I always believe the next game is very important and I will always pick a team I think can win the game. It will be a tough game for us. We have a big month coming up and we want to continue in the cup competitions as well as keeping the momentum going in the league. Where I need to change and rotate I will do that but the objective is still the same, to get three points or get through to the next round. If there are so many games it means we are in competitions and doing well. The players are in a really good physical condition, that is important to understand: you saw what they put into the game against West Ham after 120 minutes (against Chelsea) - we had a good aggression in our game. It was a comprehensive win with over 20 attempts on goal and nearly 78 percent possession so that shows what level the team is at physically and we will look to do the same in the Bolton game."
