Steven Gerrard starts for Liverpool against Wimbledon

Just days after confirming he will leave the club at the end of the season, Steven Gerrard was named in the Liverpool side to face AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup.

Gerrard has had an emotional week after revealing that concerns over his first-team football have led him to seek an new opportunity in the USA.

But the Liverpool skipper was in place for the FA Cup third-round tie at Kingsmeadow Stadium.

AFC Wimbledon team: Shea, Fuller, Kennedy, Moore, Barrett, Goodman, Rigg, Bulman, Akinfenwa, Tubbs, Francomb.

Liverpool team: Mignolet; Manquillo, Sakho, Skrtel, Can, Markovic; Lucas, Henderson; Gerrard, Coutinho; Lambert.
