Guus Hiddink happy to see Eden Hazard on scoresheet for Chelsea at MK Dons

Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink was pleased to see Eden Hazard end his 31-game goal drought in Sunday's 5-1 FA Cup win at MK Dons and set up a fifth-round tie with Manchester City.

Oscar scored a first-half hat-trick and Hazard, on his first start in four weeks following a groin injury, converted a penalty for his first goal since May.

Bertrand Traore, whose recruitment by Chelsea is under scrutiny, added a fifth.

It appeared that captain John Terry intervened to ensure Hazard, rather than Oscar, took the spot-kick and the Belgian sent David Martin the wrong way before celebrating in front of the visiting support by kissing the Chelsea badge.

Terry later announced he would be leaving Chelsea at the end of the season.

Hiddink, speaking before Terry made his announcement, said of Hazard: "He has had a difficult time, with injuries.

"We have a hierarchy for penalties. Oscar is the first one, but they gave him (Hazard) this penalty.

"It's good for him to have scored. He's coming back now, after a long absence, and he needs the rhythm of these games.

"He had more than an hour to get the rhythm and that's important for the upcoming multitude of games."

Alexandre Pato and Matt Miazga were present watching their new team-mates after signing for Chelsea in the last two days.

Asked if there would be any further movement on Monday's transfer deadline day, Hiddink said: "By my knowledge, no. But there's a few hours to go."

Asked specifically about striker Loic Remy, who has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, Hiddink said: "I've no news at this moment."

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson preferred to focus on Chelsea's performance than his own side's defensive failings.

He said: "They were outstanding. All week we were talking about them having turned a corner.

"There was a gulf in class and when that class turns up and performs with the same appetite, hunger and desire that they did, you're on a hiding to nothing.

"They have an ability to rip you apart on any given day. They did that at ease, but there was some sloppy defending, some naïve defending.

"It's a bit unfair to point fingers. Some of them have let themselves down a little bit."
