Northwich Victoria stun Boreham Wood to progress in FA Cup

Ryan Astles added to Williams' 28th-minute opener with a headed second seven minutes into the second half as the Vics booked a second-round trip to Northampton at the expense of their hosts, who ply their trade three tiers higher in the National League.

Substitute Josh Amis almost made it 3-0 when he hit the underside of the bar and Iain Howard thought he had, only to be flagged offside, before Charlie MacDonald's spectacular overhead kick gave the Boreham Wood fans something to cheer about with seconds remaining.
