Christian Eriksen backs Tottenham to see off rivals and win FA Cup

Spurs host Millwall in the quarter-finals on Sunday as they look to take one step closer to lifting the club's first trophy since 2008.

To do so, Mauricio Pochettino's men will not only have to overcome the in-form Lions but also at least one of their title rivals in the Premier League.

Manchester City and Arsenal are already through to the semis while Chelsea face Manchester United on Monday.

Tottenham have won only two of their nine matches against top-six opponents this season but did show their class in victories over City and Chelsea at White Hart Lane.

"We have shown everyone we are capable of beating the best and being part of the best group," Eriksen said.

"Of course winning something would be very special to everyone. We know this is a true route to a trophy. Everyone would be happy if we win anything.

"If it is in the FA Cup or the Premier League, we want to take that chance. It would be very special for this group to do that."

After a slow start to the season, Eriksen has sprung into form in recent weeks.

He already has 10 assists in the Premier League - the most in the division - and appears to be thriving in a more central role ahead of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele.

"Victor has given us a bit of stability in that midfield role. It is not easy to get past him," Eriksen said.

"As a player, it makes me free to do my thing and go forward, and I know there is someone there to cover me if I lose the ball.

"I think the team has a pretty good balance. When we don't have the ball we know where we need to be and we need to help each other out, and we have been doing that very well I think. If somebody is in trouble, you help them."

Millwall are enjoying a superb run of form, having gone 17 games unbeaten and conceded just one goal in 10.

Their three surprise wins against Leicester, Watford and Bournemouth in previous rounds, however, all came at the Den and Eriksen believes home comforts could prove decisive this weekend.

"I don't know much about Millwall but hopefully playing on our pitch will make a difference," Eriksen said.

"They won their previous matches on their own ground. We are playing at home and the pitch has been really good this season. That will maybe be to our advantage."
