Former Norwich and Barnsley forward Simeon Jackson has signed for Blackburn until the end of the season.
Jackson will link up with his former boss Paul Lambert, having played for him at Norwich between 2010 and 2013 before he left for German side Eintracht Braunschweig.
The Canada international then played for Millwall and Coventry, and while he signed with Barnsley last summer, he made just one league start and the Tykes opted to release him in December.
Jackson told Blackburn's official website: "It has been a good two weeks coming in and getting a feel for the club, so I'm delighted to finally put pen-to-paper now.
"Everyone has been very welcoming, it is a warm club and I'm just delighted to be here and be able to play a part of what the gaffer is doing here.
"I'm very hungry to do well. I've had a few ups and downs in the last few years, so I'm definitely looking forward to this opportunity."
Jackson, who scored 17 league goals for the Canaries, becomes the second January signing for Lambert, who earlier this month snapped up winger Elliott Bennett from Norwich.
