The France international scored a brilliant overhead kick to inspire Atletico to a 2-0 win over Roma on Wednesday.
Kevin Gameiro also netted late on after Bruno Peres was sent off for the visitors.
Diego Simeone's side were yet to win in Group C and needed victory to take the qualification fight to the final game which now sees them sit two points behind second placed Roma.
Griezmann, who ended an eight-game goal drought, told UEFA.com: "We're going to give it our all to the end. We needed to win and now we'll see. I'm happy to have scored, to help my team-mates with goals.
"I always try my best in every game and we have to keep working. We have one more nice game to play at a great ground. We'll go there to win and see what happens."
Atletico go to already qualified Chelsea while Roma host eliminated Qarabag in the final games.
Boss Simeone also paid tribute to Griezmann's strike and knew the importance of the victory.
"We played an important game, with intensity - but truth be told it wasn't too different to the match in Roma, just this time we were clinical with the wonder goal from Griezmann," he told UEFA. "This side has so much heart. We needed to win and we did just that."
Roma struggled to create clear chances and had defender Bruno Peres dismissed late on after his second yellow card.
Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco told Italian broadcaster Mediaset: "Let's not forget the quality of Atleti's players. We were imprecise, particularly in the first half, where we didn't get that final ball to get us in front of goal.
"In the second half, we could have done more. We need to keep working hard and take defeats intelligently."
