Griffith joins Carlisle

Carlisle have signed midfielder Anthony Griffith after he left Shrewsbury.

The 28-year-old only joined Town in the summer but has now penned an 18-month deal at Brunton Park after settling his contract at Greenhous Meadow.

The former Port Vale man made just six appearances for Micky Mellon's side and goes straight into the Cumbrians' squad to face AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

A statement from Shrewsbury read: "Everyone at Shrewsbury Town would like to thank Griff for his contribution during his time at Town and we wish him well for the future."
