Klinsmann has been in high demand since guiding the Germans to a surprising third-place finish at the World Cup, and a job in America, where he lives, could suit him.
The former Bayern Munich and Tottenham striker has held talks with United States Soccer Federation president Sunil Gulati, with further meetings set to take place.
"We've had a couple of conversations, I'm evaluating everything that comes up," said Kilnsmann.
"Obviously, those are discussions that will continue, and we'll see where they lead."
Klinsmann stood down as Germany coach just three days after the World Cup, but now says that he is keen to return to work.
"Sooner or later, I have to get back into coaching," he admitted.
"I'll stay in touch with Sunil and see what it leads to. It's a very casual and relaxed correspondence."
