John O'Sullivan returns to Blackburn

Blackburn midfielder John O'Sullivan has returned to his parent club following the conclusion of his loan spell at Rochdale.

O'Sullivan made the move to Spotland in November and appeared just three times for the Sky Bet League One club.

The 22-year-old's final game for Keith Hill's side was a 2-1 defeat at Swindon on December 12 and he was sent off in that fixture.

A brief statement on Rochdale's official website said: ''We'd like to thank John for his services and wish him the very best of luck for the future.''
