Jose Mourinho has declared himself as ‘The Calm One’ after citing a growing maturity during his time as Manchester United boss.

Having famously arrived at Chelsea in 2004 as the self-declared ‘Special One’, Mourinho’s second instalment at Stamford Bridge saw him become ‘The Happy One’.
And now after more than half a season at United, and with two trophies already under his belt, Mourinho believes an ability to control his frustrations has handed him a new nickname.
"I would say, 'The Calm One’,” Mourinho said, when asked by France Football about his time at United.
"Everyone expected me to be a problem. But the only problem I've had up till now is when I kicked a bottle of water in front of me. I was sent to the stand and had to pay a fine for that.
"That's my problem: when I'm a little bit frustrated, I kick bottles. But it's my only outburst since my arrival eight months ago. So, I have become 'The Calm One.' Having said that, perhaps tomorrow I'll get sent off.
Mourinho was handed a one-match touchline ban after kicking a bottle against West Ham in November, with an independent commission ruling that it "could have endangered people around him".

“Mourinho the man who tries to be the opposite of what a manager is,” he added. “He tries to be discreet, calm. To find a way to disconnect.
"I can come home and not watch a game of football, not think about football. I can do it. At the beginning of my career, I couldn’t. I was permanently connected, 24 out of 24 hours.
"I had to find a form of maturity. Today, I am happy within my personality as a man. I have matured, I am more peaceful.”
