Lanzoni joined Pools on loan from Cambridge on Tuesday and is grateful to boss Paul Murray for calling on the former Sampdoria defender.
"I know it's maybe not an easy time right now, but I know the gaffer and some of the players so I think if we keep working hard then results will arrive for us," Lanzoni told the club's official website.
"I think we must all work hard to find our best form and get some wins to move up the table.
"This chance has arrived for me and I am very happy to have the possibility to show what I can do.
"I must say thank you to the club and to the gaffer for calling me and giving me this chance.
"This is a big opportunity for me at a good club and I am sure that I will do my maximum for Hartlepool, for the manager, for the fans and for the team.
"I worked with the gaffer at Oldham so I know he is a really good person and also a very good manager so I am looking forward to playing under him again."
Lanzoni, who spent five years with Sampdoria, arrived in England with Oldham, where he worked with Murray, and had a spell at Yeovil before joining Cambridge in the summer.
"I am a physical centre-half and I think my style is well-suited to the nature of League Two," Lanzoni added.
"Every game is a battle and I am sure that my physicality and experience can help the team.
"I don't like talking too much - I prefer to show on the pitch what I can do and then afterwards it's up to other people to judge me."
