Barnsley will be playing Championship football next season after overcoming Millwall 3-1 in a pulsating League One play-off final at Wembley.
Ashley Fletcher got Barnsley off to the perfect start, scoring in just the second minute before Adam Hammill, who also scored in the JPT final, made it another Wembley cracker with an unstoppable curling shot into the top corner.
Mark Beevers gave Millwall hope with a smart finish on the turn before the break. But Lloyd Isgrove settled matters with his first goal for the club to put Barnsley back in the Championship.
For Millwall, it’s yet more Wembley heartbreak. They have now lost in four of their five visits to England HQ.
