Round-up: Brunt stars as Plymouth power on at summit with Carlisle triumph

Sky Bet League Two leaders Plymouth made it four wins on the spin as they passed the 50-point mark with a 2-0 victory over Carlisle.

The Cumbrians were hosting the game at Blackburn's Ewood Park following the floods in the north and they fell behind when Ryan Brunt scored for the third successive fixture.
And the same player helped double that advantage in second-half stoppage-time with an effort that may have taken a final touch off team-mate Gregg Wylde as the Pilgrims moved to 52 points and preserved their three-point advantage .
Second-placed Northampton won for the ninth time in their past 10 games in all competitions as they defeated Barnet 3-0.
Portsmouth remain the only side to have taken anything off the Cobblers since October 31 as Sam Hoskins, Ricky Holmes and Marc Richards all scored to extend their purple patch.

At the other end of the table, Yeovil ended a 16-game winless streak in the league to move off the foot of the table with a 1-0 victory over York, who are now propping up the division.

Rory Gaffney struck his second brace in the space of six days to give fifth-placed Bristol Rovers a 2-0 triumph over Luton, while Morecambe defeated Wycombe by the same scoreline, Shaun Miller striking first before Jamie Devitt added a second from the penalty spot after goalkeeper Matt Ingram was dismissed for the hosts.
Accrington moved back into the play-off spots as they claimed a 3-2 victory over Mansfield - Piero Mingoia, Billy Kee and Terry Gornell all scoring for the visitors while Matt Green and Chris Clements were on target in a losing cause for the Stags.
AFC Wimbledon made it back-to-back wins on their travels as they overcame Cambridge 4-1. Luke Berry had levelled after Paul Robinson's opener but Lyle Taylor, Jonathan Meades and Ade Azeez all found the net to earn the Dons more away-day spoils.
It finished 2-2 between Stevenage and Leyton Orient, substitute Armand Gnanduillet and Jay Simpson each scoring twice for their respective sides, while Dagenham defeated Exeter 2-1, with Ashley Chambers claiming the winner after Joss Labadie and Tom Nichols had traded goals.
Earlier in the day Hartlepool saw a third successive fixture called off because of the weather as Newport's Rodney Parade pitch was deemed unplayable.
