The 32-year-old Leicester captain lifted the league trophy in May and was only the third outfield player in the competition’s history to play every minute of a title-winning campaign.
Morgan was expected to extend his stay at the club, but talks over a new contract were delayed as he travelled to the USA to represent Jamaica at the summer’s Copa America.
However, the centre-back has now agreed a deal that is likely to see him end his career at the club.
“To commit my future to Leicester City is a wonderful feeling,” Morgan said. “Everyone knows how I feel about playing for this club and with my team-mates, so I’m proud to have the chance to carry on wearing the shirt long term.
“Lifting that Premier League trophy was a moment I will never forget and it’s still sinking in. Now we’ve got to give it everything to defend it as well as showing what we can do in the Champions League.
“We all know that what we’ve got in that dressing room is something special, so I can’t wait to get the new season started with the boys so we can once again give it our best for each other and for our fantastic supporters.”
Leicester City will begin their Premier league title defence against Hull City on August 13, a week after facing Manchester United in the Community Shield
