Luis Suarez: Premier League is best in the world, but Barcelona are top team

Barcelona striker Luis Suarez is happy playing for the “best team in the world”, but admits there is nothing quite like competing in the Premier League.
The Uruguay international spent three-and-a-half years playing in England’s top flight for Liverpool before sealing his switch to the Spanish giants during the summer of 2014.
Suarez netted 82 times in 133 appearances for the Merseyside club and captured the hearts of the Anfield faithful, but persistent controversies and his desire to play for the Catalan outfit saw him complete a move to Spain for a reported fee of £75 million last July.
The 28-year-old starred for Luis Enrique’s side last term, notching 25 goals in 43 appearances as they secured the treble. Suarez is perfectly happy with life in Spain and is hoping to help Barca become the first club to successfully defend the Champions League, though he admits he would be in favour of a return to Ajax before he retires – or perhaps an MLS side.
"I would like to retire at the club I love, Nacional," he said of his boyhood team during an interview on ESPN Deportes Radio. "But I also want to return to Ajax someday.
"The MLS would not be a bad choice. It could happen one day. The US’ love of the game is growing a lot. People are filling the stadiums.
"The Premier League is the best league in the world. But Barcelona are the best team.
"I do not consider myself one of the best players in the world but it is a pleasure to play in the best team.
"And we still have goals to fulfil. We want to become the first team to win consecutive Champions Leagues.
"We're very motivated this season. We are obliged to keep winning."
