Arda Turan has fuelled speculation that he could leave Atletico Madrid this summer by confirming his agent is currently "in touch with three to four clubs”.

The Turkish midfielder was reported on Friday as telling Los Colchoneros that he sought a move away on the grounds that he was unhappy with the amount of defensive work asked of him by Diego Simeone - and appeared to confirm that on Twitter on Sunday.
Josep Maria Bartomeu has reportedly made Turan one of his Barcelona presidential pledges, while the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United have also been linked with his signature.

As reported in yesterday’s Euro Papers, it appears as though Turan feels he can no longer fulfil the requirements of playing for Diego Simeone: namely combining the normal requirements of a creative midfielder with an insatiable desire for running. Both Simeone and Turan came to the club in 2011, and the physical toll that playing for a Simeone side can have on a player must not be under-estimated. Four years is a long time to play for the Argentine.
Turan seems intent on leaving so the question now is where will he go? Barcelona are understandably very keen but have a transfer ban to contend with. Manchester United and Arsenal are also said to be in for the former Galatasaray man. His game would suit England while he would have to wait until January to play for Barcelona.
