Javier Mascherano will quit Barcelona to sign a three-year contract with Italian champions Juventus, according to reports.
It is being claimed in Sport, the Barcelona sports newspaper, that Masherano will earn an increase in wages by moving to Turin.
But it also reported that Barca do not want to sell the player, who has been a key part of the Barca defence in recent years.
Mascherano is apparently concerned about his status as first-choice central defender in Luis Enrique's side and could push through a move.
It is also being reported that Dani Alves is keen to move on with Marc Bartra and Thomas Vermaelen apparently set to be moved on by the Spanish champions.
Such a move would prompt the need for Barcelona to overhaul their entire defence, and it is being claimed the club's technical director has already met with the club board to discuss replacements.
PSG defender Marquinhos and Aymeric Laporte of Athletic Bilbao have been touted as possible arrivals.
