Cristiano Ronaldo's mum wants her son to return to Manchester United if he quits Real Madrid, according to the Mirror.
The tabloid newspaper claims the Portuguese forward - who was yesterday nominated for the Ballon d'Or alongside Lionel Messi and Neymar - has been advised by mum Dolores Aveiro to return to Old Trafford, seven years after he left United for Madrid in a world record £80m deal.
Paris Saint-Germain are also keen to sign Ronaldo, say the Mirror, who claim the French champions are willing to unearth £250,000-a-week after tax to sign the forward.
But it has been claimed the player's mum would prefer Manchester because she views it as a safer place for her son and grandson Cristiano Jnr to live after the attacks on Paris.
United coach Louis van Gaal has already intimated that he would be keen to land Ronaldo if he becomes available, but they are unlikely to be the only club chasing the three-times Ballon d'Or winner, who has scored a whopping 48 goals for Madrid and Portugal in 2015.
