Cristiano Ronaldo will almost certainly miss Real Madrid’s European Super Cup date with Sevilla in August due to his knee injury.

AS reports the Euro 2016 winner will be out for at least a month and with the Champions League holders meeting the Europa League holders on August 9 in Trondheim, Ronaldo is highly unlikely to be risked.
Ronaldo has been diagnosed with a sprained medial collateral ligament in his left knee and while more comprehensive tests will be conducted, he could need as much as eight weeks to recover.
Zinedine Zidane won’t take any risks with Ronaldo’s fitness and so the continental showpiece is almost certainly out of reach for the Portugal captain, barring any unforeseen and unlikely recovery.
Ronaldo is now on his post-Euros holiday and is expected to join his club colleagues on the tour of the United States on July 31, meeting the team in New York.
